The Campbell County High School softball team lost to Halls 13-0 and 12-0 at home in a doubleheader on Monday night.

“We knew Halls was going to be a tough game going in,” CCHS head coach Rebecca Mongar-Collette said. “They have a very good pitcher, and she’s doing very well this season. We came out that first game, and it should’ve been a 2-0, 3-0 ballgame, going into the third. We had a dropped ball we should’ve caught, and they just hit the ball. They had a harder time adjusting to us tonight, a lot of foul balls tonight. In the long run, it’s not that we weren’t aggressive at the plate. We just struggled to hit. Especially against the first pitcher we struggled. It just kind of led into the second game. They’re a good team.”
