On March 13, the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office was investigating multiple narcotic complaints in the Woolridge area of Campbell County. Deputies observed a vehicle traveling over the posted speed limit with an expired registration.
Upon initiating a traffic stop, deputies made contact with the driver, Luke Thomas Williams (35) and passenger Randy Edward Huddleston (60).
Trained and Certified K-9 Officer Daisy was deployed to conduct a free air sniff around the vehicle. During the sniff, K-9 Daisy alerted to the presence of an odor of illicit drugs. While speaking with the pair, deputies allegedly located a bag of methamphetamine that deputies believed had been tossed from the vehicle by one of the occupants. Williams and Huddleston denied having possessed or discarding the methamphetamine.
Williams and Huddleston were then placed under arrest and transported to The Campbell County Jail.
The following day, detectives executed a search warrant at the residence of Luke Thomas Williams. As a result of evidence allegedly obtained during the search, a 3-year-old child was removed from the residence due to evidence being located and the alleged intoxication of the mother, Nephateria Williams (27).
Felony amounts of heroin, methamphetamine, methadone and drug paraphernalia were allegedly recovered along with multiple firearms and cash.
Nephateria also allegedly attempted to destroy evidence during the search.
Nephateria Williams was arrested and transported to the Campbell County Jail.
Three other females inside the residence were cited to court for possession of controlled substances.
