Galilee Bible Camp will host a ladies retreat featuring speaker Beth Moore, by way of video.  The retreat will be May 9 from 6 to 10 p.m. and May 10 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The cost for the retreat is $20, if you drive back and forth and $25 for those wishing to spend the night at the camp in a youth cabin and bring your own linens.  Price includes a tote bag, follow up journal, snack, breakfast, and lunch.  Space is limited and you must pre-register.  For more information, call Brenda Bennett at 562-4910.

Guiding Star Baptist Church will host a singing on May 10 with the Big Mountain Singers and others.

Forks Grove Baptist Church will host a benefit singing on May 10 for Mike Monday. Dinner will be at 5 p.m. and the singing will begin at 6:30 p.m. Singers will include Glory Road Boys, Tribute Singers, Justified by Faith and Forks Grove Singers. Woodson Gap Baptist Church will have a benefit singing on May 10 to help pay for funeral expenses. Singers will be The Gospel Harmony, Heaven Sent, and Old Age Baptist Youth group.

Faithway Assembly of God youth will have a car wash and yard sale in the church parking lot on May 10 beginning at 8 a.m.

Word of Life Church will host a Mother’s Day service. All mothers will be honored with a gift and the mother of the year award will be given. Also the church will be celebrating Pentecost Sunday. Service times are Sunday; 10 a.m., Sunday school, 11 a.m. worship service, 6 p.m. evening worship; Wednesday, 6 p.m., Children’s Church, 7 p.m. Bible study and GED classes are offered on Monday at 7 p.m. For more information call 566-6782.

The House of Prayer and Praise will not have night services on May 11.

Fundamental Missionary Baptist Church will have revival services May 12-16 at 7 p.m. Evangelist will be James Langston. For more information call 562-1775.

East LaFollette Baptist Church will hold revival services May 15 -17 with evangelist Blake Carroll and special music nightly. There will be special singers on May 11 at 18 at 6 p.m.

Stanfield Church of God will host Sonfest May 28-30 at 7 p.m. each night for ages five and up. Featured guest is Parkway COG, Smokey Mountain Children’s Home of Sevierville, along with other area churches. The prophetic and Hebraic roots of the Bible are being taught on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in the banquet room of the Super 8 in Caryville. This study is hosted by Judith Taylor ministries.

Celebrate Recovery is for men and women who are struggling with a hurt, hang-up, or habit. Meetings are held every Thursday evening in the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church, 409 Main Street, Jacksboro. A light meal is served at 6:15 p.m. followed by a large and small group meeting. Refreshments are served afterward at the Solid Rock Café. There is no cost. Women’s small group addressing anger issues and physically, emotionally and verbally abused women have recently become available.
