“It affects me more and more, every time I talk to my sister,” said Young about the impact meth use has on an entire family.

This is one of the reasons Young and Jonathan LuAllen founded the I Hate Meth organization.

In two weeks LuAllen and Young have worked harder than ever before.

A box in the lobby of Jellico town hall is quickly filling up with warm jackets.

It’s for a coat drive- a project that has never been done by the municipality. But a project Mayor Les Stiers said is needed in the Jellico community.

On Dec. 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the donated coats will hang on racks for people in need to come and choose from.

Stiers said the coats have been outgrown and discarded. They have been cleaned and prepared for the coat drive by several women in the community.
