WHEN YOU LOSE a loved one there is no time limit on grief. As a family, we know this first hand. Silas Grant was born April 29, 1925 and passed away October 4, 2011. In that span of years, he accomplished so much! He was a veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict, a Prisoner of War (POW), and a Purple Heart recipient. But, his proudest moments involved his beloved wife, Lenore Willoughby Grant, and his children George, Jerome, Vickie and Sherry. As each day comes and goes, we remember him and his words and actions. He was a man that made us smile and laugh daily but he protected his wife and family with all his might. He showed us the love of a true husband and father. The legacy of laughter and entertaining carried through each child and even to the grandchildren. Our memories carry us through each day and comfort our Mother each night. Stories that family and friends share bring sunlight to us during the rain of tears. Happy Birthday Daddy!! You sure make us long for Heaven even more!!!
