11 arrested for soliciting prostitutes plead guilty

JACKSBORO—Nearly a dozen men nabbed in a prostitution sting in downtown LaFollette are on their way to settling their alleged transgressions.
Two months after the week-long, late-September sting, 10 of the 11 men charged with soliciting prostitutes in LaFollette have pleaded guilty and received their punishments. Some paid fines anywhere from several hundred to more than $1,000. One more case will be heard in December. Those punishments are as follows:
• Calvin Ratcliff — pleaded guilty, 6-month suspended sentence pending paid fine. He’s not to be back on north Tennessee or Indiana avenues.
• James Scarborough — pleaded guilty, case closed
• Sigile Gray, Jr. ,— pleaded guilty, seven days in jail plus a six-month suspended sentence at 75 percent. Supervised probation until fine is paid
• Charles Keith Wagers — pleaded guilty, review hearing scheduled for Jan. 28, 2014
• Gary Lee Asher — pleaded guilty, 6-month suspended sentence, pending paid fine
• George E. Miller — pleaded guilty, 6-month suspended sentence, pending paid fine
• John Oblinger — pleaded guilty, seven days in jail, plus a six-month suspended sentence at 75 percent
• James T. Allen — pleaded guilty, 6-month suspended sentence, pay fines by Jan. 28, 2014
• Rodney J. Bolton — pleaded guilty, 6-month suspended sentence, pay fines by Jan. 28, 2014
• Dewey Heatherly — pleaded guilty, seven days in jail plus a six-month suspended sentence at 75 percent, supervised probation pending fine. Heatherly is not to be on Tank Springs Road.
• Mauricio Bocanagra will appear in court on Dec. 3 for sentencing.
