The third time seemed to be the charm for a Jacksboro man with two previous driving under the influence convictions.
Casey Aaron Hill, 27, of 294 Meyers Street, Apartment 24, Jacksboro, was involved in a single car accident, which included his vehicle meeting with the side of a downtown LaFollette building.
On Sunday LaFollette Police Officer Odell Bailey was dispatched to Cross Funeral Home to investigate a possible intoxicated driver. Upon arrival Bailey discovered Hill’s vehicle had left the roadway and struck the west corner of Cross Funeral Home.
According to Bailey’s report, the collision caused extensive damage to the building’s exterior.
Hill allegedly fled the scene and was located in the rear parking lot of the funeral home.
Records indicate Hill allegedly smelled strongly of alcohol and was very unsteady on his feet.
Hill was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident and destruction of private property.
He is scheduled to appear in court on July 10.
