Alleged shoplifter arrested for meth

Jacksboro Det. Mike Starrett found a person in possession of much more than stolen property when dispatched to a large retail store last Tuesday.

Around 11 p.m. on Veteran’s Day, Starrett responded to a call in reference to a shoplifter, according to the complaint report.

The defendant, Dustin Lee Wallace, 20, of LaFollette, was detained and searched upon the detective’s arrival, said Starrett.

“Upon further investigation, the above defendant had several white plastic baggies on his person,” said Starrett.
