LaFOLLETTE—Radio station 1450 AM WLAF is reporting that the Adrion W. Baird Animal Center is expected to reopen on Monday. The news agency reports the operation will only take phone calls for its first few days of operations. The shelter number is 423-566-1892.

WLAF also reports that shelter supervisor Betty Crumley has resigned her post in the wake of a Tennessee Bureau of Investigation probe into alleged wrongdoing at the shelter. The shelter closed April 11 after a viral Internet video surfaced alleging inhumane treatment to animals at the center.
