Two weeks ago, I was going through a very stressful time in my life, and I decided to actually get up early to go walking. Grant it, I’m by no means a morning person.
I’m what I like to call a “secret morning person”.
A secret morning person is someone who isn’t an early riser and doesn’t whistle merrily as they jump out of bed before getting their day started at 7 a.m. It’s someone who may be extremely sleepy-headed, yet isn’t sleepy enough appreciate the beauty of the morning atmosphere.
Whenever I do wake up early in the morning, the one place I love to go to is around a local pier and simply sit on one of the benches and witness the stillness all around me. There’s nothing more beautiful in the world than watching the reflection of the red morning sun dance upon the cool waters while watching your worries and cares vanish with each ripple of the tiny waves.
Say what you will, but when you are in the presence of such precious things as these, your worries seem to drift to a place far away from existence. For me, it’s always been watching a black and white horror film with a big bowl of popcorn under one arm and a pillow under the other in hopes that “creepy crawly boogeyman” don’t invade my territory!
Still, no matter what hardship you may go through that may plague your life, always know that there are things out there that no one person can take away and death cannot destroy.
The ride of life may be a rough one, but don’t forget to take the scenic detours every chance you get. Some things in life cannot be changed, and I refuse to let circumstances change me. So, instead of letting the ropes of life slip through your fingers, simply hold on to the reins and enjoy the ride. There are brighter things to see amidst the darkness.
So, hang on, dear friends! The best is surely yet to come
