Not wanting to leave an accomplice in the cold, LaFollette Police officers continued to blaze a trail in an ongoing investigation.

Last Friday Jessica D. Cheel, 24, of 485 Lonesome Mountain Lane, was arrested by Detective David Muse for her part in the burglary of Pizza Hut.

Cheel’s husband, Royle Jarred Cheel, was nabbed on Feb. 24 by Muse and Campbell County Sheriff’s Department Det. Brandon Elkins after a year long joint investigation into two armed robberies.

Royle Cheel’s most recent crime involved the alleged burglary of the local pizza parlor, at which he was an employee.

On Feb. 16 Royle Cheel allegedly broke into the Pizza Hut restaurant and removed $600 from the store’s safe.

Jessica Cheel was involved in developing a plan for the burglary, according to the warrant.

Through Muse’s investigation it was determined that Jessica Cheel allegedly drove her husband to the vicinity of the business, dropped him off and waited for him to return to a meeting place. Upon his return, Royle Cheel told his wife he had hidden the money and she drove him to pick it up, records indicate.

Jessica Cheel was arrested on Feb. 27 and charged with burglary and theft of property $500-$999.
