Burglary and a list of other charges earned a local pair a trip to the county jail this past weekend.

On Sunday evening LaFollette Police Officer Steven Wallen responded to a burglary call on East Hemlock Street.

At the scene Wallen, along with Officers Daniel Terry and Corey Taylor, were told by a witness that Aaron C. Crowley, 18, of 772 Davis Chapel Road, and Daren Martin, 20, of 502 Main Street, Jacksboro were the culprits of the burglary, LPD report said.

During the course of the investigation officers were able to determine the duo had allegedly taken a .20 gauge shotgun and a .9 mm Ruger handgun from the home.

Records indicate Crowley and Martin also broke into a vehicle at the residence and stole a compact disc player, 1,000 watt amplifier and two 12 inch speakers. The vehicle’s passenger door and trunk were also damaged during the incident.

Officers were able to locate all of the items, which had either been stolen or stored at Martin’s home. The search also allegedly revealed a bag of marijuana as well as Roxycodone and Xanax, according to the arrest warrant.

Crowley and Martin were arrested and charged with burglary, theft over $1,000 and vandalism over $500. Martin picked up additional charges of possession of schedule II, IV and VI. Both men are scheduled to appear in court on this Friday.
