On November 4, 2008, the United States of America was going to make history one way or another: We would elect the first African-American as president or we would elect the first woman to be vice president.
Indeed, history was made. Sen. Barack H. Obama defeated Sen. John S. McCain to become the 44th President of the United States and the first African-American President in American history.
The campaign Obama ran was simply brilliant.
