Campbell County High School’s football team kicked off spring practice Monday afternoon with enthusiastic group of 60 players hungry to make a name for themselves on the field.
The Cougars will practice a total of 10 days over the next three weeks. Two days have also been set aside for scrimmages. Campbell County will travel to South-Doyle on Thursday, May 17 for a 6 p.m. scrimmage against the Cherokees.
A week later, the Cougars will wrap up spring drills with the Blue and Orange intrasquad scrimmage on May 24 at 7 p.m.
Campbell County will participate in the Knoxville Interscholastic League Jamboree on August 9, which was a week before the Cougars are set to host Seymour in the 2012 season opener.
