The Caryville 9-10 Dixie Youth Baseball All-Stars recently participated in the sub-district tournament at Kingston.

Caryville ended up with a 2-2 record and a third place tournament finish.

In the opening game, Caryville was defeated 5-4 by Oak Ridge. That loss dropped the Caryville All-Stars into the loser’s bracket where they beat Spring City, 21-4; and Harriman, 15-14 in extra innings.

The victory over Harriman put the Caryville All-Stars within one game of advancing to the district tournament.

Unfortunately, the tournament came to an end for Caryville as the result of a 14-4 loss to unbeaten Rockwood.

Members of the Caryville All-Stars would like to thank their parents and sponsors for supporting the team throughout the tournament.

Team sponsors include National Coal, State Farm-Linda Kilgore, ABSolute Fitness, Thunder Mountain Fireworks and Charley’s Pizza.
