Greetings! The Caryville Public Library would like to invite you to a Happy Birthday Jesus party. It will be on Dec. 17 at 1 p.m., weather permitting. (This is the day that the county schools release at 11:30 a.m.) We will learn about the real meaning of Christmas and why we celebrate it each year. The party is open for all ages, so come down and join us.
We have expanded our collection very well in the last couple of months. In the DVD collection we have added Criminal Minds seasons one and two, CSI: Miami seasons one-four, Fringe season one, Matlock season one, Final Destination one- four, Grown Ups, How to Train Your Dragon, Iron Man 2, The Karate Kid (2010), National Lampoon’s Vacation, The Hangover, Hot Tub Time Machine, all four Final Destination movies, VeggieTales Christmas Sing-A-Long Songs and Scooby-Doo Abracadabra-Doo just to name a few. While over in the book section, we have added nine Christian Fiction, including Karen Kingsbury’s Unlocked and Beverly
Lewis’s The Crossroad, The Englisher and The Sacrifice, as well as over 50 fiction novels, which are too many to mention!
Another thing that we would like to tell you about is a special present that we would like to give to all of our patrons who may be a little late on returning items. Between Dec. 20 and the 31, all items returned with late charges will be waived as our way of saying thank you for your patronage.
One more thing that we would like to let you know is that we are currently having a book sale. During Dec. 20 and the 31, our books will be sold by the bag. (Wal-Mart size bag) Paperbacks will be $3 a bag, hardbacks $6 a bag, videos $6 a bag. Audio books will not be included in the bag sale but are reasonably priced.
