Caryville's first meeting without Heatherly a difficult one

The mood at Monday night’s board of mayor and aldermen meeting in Caryville was somber.

It was the first meeting since Alderman Joe Heatherly passed away several weeks ago.

“This is probably the hardest meeting I’ve ever had to share with you all,” said Mayor Bobby Stooksbury quietly.

“It’s real hard to sit here and not look over and see Joe,” Stooksbury continued asking everyone continue to keep Joe’s wife, Vickie, in their prayers.
