CCSD terminates two

A school resource officer and an auxiliary police officer have been terminated from their positions.

The firings came after Sheriff Robbie Goins was informed of allegations of misconduct.

“Late last Tuesday these allegations were brought to our attention,” said Goins. “We immediately notified the district attorney and began looking into the situation.”

A coordinated decision was made to request the investigation be handled directly by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation
