On Nov. 8, the Campbell County Chamber of Commerce will host its annual pig roast. The pig roast will be held at the Ball Farm Event Center from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
“I think we’ll have 200 or 300 folks come out in a really good mood to support their chamber,” said E. L. Morton, director for the Campbell County Chamber of Commerce. “We’re looking forward to the community coming out and participating.”
The pig roast is open to anybody, Morton said. Pulled pork, a pasta bar and chicken fingers will be served, and there will be live music.
“It’s (bound) to be a lively night,” Morton said.
The pig roast is one of two fundraisers the chamber hosts every the year.
Funds raised go to promoting the community in a variety of ways such as outdoor advertisements, electronic, or web, development and print advertisement.
“We’re actively reaching out into the market and developing relationships in the retail, industrial and tourism sectors,” Morton said.
Everyone is invited, Morton said.
Ayers Real Estate and Auction will host a silent and live auction where there will be various items on sale, such as one-day party pontoon boat rentals, a ladies watch, a Black and Decker hammer drill and a $50 gift certificate.
There will be both a live and silent auction.
Usually, there are about 100 donors for the auction. All donors will be honored in a slide show that will run during the pig roast.
Tickets cost $20 for adults and $10 for children.
People can purchase tickets at the chamber or from board members. Those interested in purchasing tickets can call 566-0329.
