April 15 may be an unwelcome day for some, but for well known establishment Charley’s Pizza Parlor the 15th will be a happy occasion.
The long-time restaurant has seen many changes over the years since it opened in 1976. But the good food and family atmosphere remains the same, according to owner Jerry Partin. Though Partin has only owned the establishment for two years, he has been with the business since 1981.
“It’s a great sense of accomplishment being part of a business that has such roots in the area,” said Partin, who said he can call his customers by name as they walk in the door.
Partin plans to show his appreciation and celebrate the anniversary by rolling back the prices on April 15.
It will be $2 off on pizzas and $2 off on the adult buffet all day long, according to Partin.
He said he hopes Charley’s will continue for years to come.
“After I’m gone, I hope someone else will get it and keep the tradition going,” Partin said.
Charley’s Pizza Parlor is located at 103 Cumberland Lane at Jacksboro Pike. Business hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday, and closed on Sunday.
