Christ of the Cumberland Lutheran Church, 190 Forge Ridge Rd., Harrogate, will have midweek Advent Services, Dec. 10 and 17. A meager meal will be served from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with worship service to follow.

Indian Mound Baptist Church will present The Best Christmas Ever on Dec. 13 at 7p.m.

Speedwell Church Of God will present Happy Birthday, Jesus on Dec. 13 at 6 p.m.

Westside Baptist Church is sponsoring a Breakfast with Santa on Dec.13 at the Lake City Community Center from 9 a.m. until 9:30 am pictures can be made on Santa's lap for $5. Breakfast starts at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 10:30 a.m. Breakfast prices are $5 for adults and $3 for children. The adult breakfast consists of three pancakes, one sausage and a juice or coffee. The child breakfast consists of one pancake, one sausage and a juice. Santa will be available once again from 10:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. for additional pictures. The Fincastle United Methodist Church will be hosting a dinner theatre on Dec. 13 at 6 p.m. The title of the play is Cookin’ Up Christmas.

The Way of the Holiness Church of God in Clairfield will present the Christmas play The Journey of Mary and Jesus on Dec. 13 at 7 p.m.

LaFollette Baptist Temple will present Dennis Gwizdala, southern gospel singer, saxophonist and songwriter in concert on Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. A reception will follow immediately.

Guiding Star Baptist Church will present a Christmas play He Willingly Came on Dec. 13 at 6 p.m. and Dec. 14 at 6 p.m.

Fordtown Baptist Church will present the Christmas program O What a Savior on Dec. 14 at 6 p.m.

Charity Worship Center will present Every Knee Shall Bow on Dec. 14 at 6 p.m.

The children’s church at Victory Worship Center of Harrogate will present the play Merry Christmas Charlie Brown on Dec. 14 at 11 a.m. the adult’s Christmas play will be presented on the evening service at 7 p.m. For more information call 869-2477.

Central Baptist Church will present its Christmas program A Special Mission on Dec. 14 at 7 p.m.

The Long Hollow Baptist Church will present its annual Christmas play on Dec. 19 at 7:30 p.m. The children’s play is entitled An Old Fashioned Christmas. The adults will present a play entitled Love So Amazing.

Cawood United Methodist Church will present a Living Nativity at the Asbury Farm on Highway 63 near the Speedwell Post office on Dec. 20 and 21 beginning at 6 p.m. both nights. The Nativity will be presented at 6, 6:45, 7:30 and 8:15 each night.

Red Ash Baptist Church will present a Christmas play entitled Tell Me the Story of Jesus on Dec. 20 at 6 p.m. For more information call 562-0708.

A Christmas cantata will be presented at the Jellico United Methodist Church on Dec. 21 at 6 p.m. The program will consist of the reading of the Christmas story intermingled with traditional Christmas carols. The carols performed by the choir include Away in a Manger, Joy to the World, O Little Town of Bethlehem, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, "Silent Night, We Three Kings, O Come, O Come, Emmanuel, What Child Is This, O Come All Ye Faithful, It Came Upon the Midnight Clear, The First Noel and White Christmas. Ms. Meadors will be singing a solo.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Christmas Mass schedule will be Christmas Eve, music at 9:30 p.m., mass at 10 p.m. (midnight mass) and Christmas Day at 9:30 a.m.

Indian Mound Baptist Church will have a New Year’s Eve Watch Service on Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. Special singing by the Bott’s Family, refreshments will be served.

Celebrate Recovery is for men and women who are struggling with a hurt, hang-up, or habit. Meetings are held every Thursday evening in the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church, 409 Main Street, Jacksboro. A light meal is served at 6:15 p.m. followed by a large and small group meeting. Refreshments are served afterward at the Solid Rock Café. There is no cost. For more information call 562-5168, Monday through Friday 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Childcare is now available. Child care is provided. Women’s small group addressing anger issues and physically, emotionally and verbally abused women have recently become available.
