A ladies Bible study on the new Beth Moore study, Esther, will begin this week. The study will be offered on Thursday evenings starting Jan. 8 at 6:30 p.m. and on Tuesday mornings at 9:30 a.m. starting Jan.13. The group will meet in the church library at Cedar Hill Baptist Church. Workbooks will be $14.95. For more information or to pre-register, please call Brenda Bennett at 562-4910.

Lick Creek Holiness Church will host a benefit singing on Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. Singers will be the Reepers and Hanging Rock Singers.

Guiding Star Baptist Church will host a benefit singing for a church member who is battling cancer and has been laid off work. The singing will be held Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. Singers will be Liberty Singers, Joyful Aires and others.

Word Life church will began its 2009 GED school on Jan. 12 at 7 p.m. Anyone who would like to attend please call 566-6782 or 563-5816. Classes are held in the basement.

Fordtown Baptist Church will be having its monthly special service and singing with the The Gospel Sounds on Jan. 17 at 7 p.m.

Grace Age Fellowship Church will have a singing on Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. Singers will include the Reapers and others.

Faith Tabernacle 13th Street Church of God will have a revival beginning Jan. 18 and continuing through the 23rd with Rev. George Wright from Dayton, OH. Services are at 6pm on Sunday and 7pm all other nights.

Mount Harmony Baptist Church will have a gospel singing on Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. Singers will be Alder Springs Singers of LaFollette, the Harvey’s of Clinton and the Powers Family of Claiborne County.

A Beth Moore Bible Study, "Believing God” will begin Feb. 3 and continue Tuesdays from 6:30 – 8 pm in the Solarium at Mercy/St. Mary's Health Center, LaFollette. Contact Sandy at 494-7134 or 566-6751 to reserve your spot in class.

Cumberland View Baptist Church will have a youth meeting every Thursday evening at 7 p.m. Kids of all ages are invited to attend. For a ride or more information, please call 494-0751 or 563-5742.

Celebrate Recovery is for men and women who are struggling with a hurt, hang-up, or habit. Meetings are held every Thursday evening in the Family Life Center of First Baptist Church, 409 Main Street, Jacksboro. A light meal is served at 6:15 p.m. followed by a large and small group meeting. Refreshments are served afterward at the Solid Rock Café. There is no cost. For more information call 562-5168, Monday through Friday 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Childcare is now available. Child care is provided. Women’s small group addressing anger issues and physically, emotionally and verbally abused women have recently become available.
