Faith Way Assembly of God will have fall homecoming revival with guest speaker Evangelist Joe Sneed Oct. 7 -9 at 7 p.m. nightly and Oct. 10 at 11 a.m. with homecoming meal following service. Betty Jean Robinson will be in concert at Faith Way Assembly of God on Oct. 8 at 7 p.m.


Glade Springs Baptist Church 5K for Christ Fun Run and Walk will be held Oct. 9 at 9 a.m. Check-in and registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at Cove Lake State Park at the pool shelter. Fratersville Baptist Church will have homecoming Oct. 10 beginning at 10:30 a.m. Special singers will be Liberty Trio, special preaching will be by Johnny Nix. Dinner will be served at the Masonic Lodge in Lake City immediately after the service. The church van will run locally.


Davis Chapel Community Baptist Church will have homecoming on Oct. 10. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. There will be no evening services.


House of Prayer and Praise will celebrate Pastor Appreciation Month for its pastor and his family on Oct. 10 at 6 p.m. with Jeff Muse and Oct. 17 at 10 a.m. with Tina Reese. Drama will perform along with Faith N Glory with a fellowship dinner following that service. Seventh Day Adventist Church is sponsoring a cooking class on Oct. 11 at 6 p.m. The cost is $5. Participants will get to taste each recipe and take home the recipe.  Free meal planning will be offered Oct. 14 at 6 p.m. seven days of meal planning using healthy foods that can be made at home will be offered. Both events will be offered at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Woodson’s Mall.


Whitman Hollow Bible Church will host a Bible Conference Oct. 15-17 at 7 p.m. Featured speaker will be Richard Jordan of Forgotten Truths.


Stinking Creek Crusade will be held at the Mountain Heritage Site outside on Oct. 15 at 7 p.m., Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. and Oct. 17 at 6 p.m.  Sampson Ridenour will be preaching and special guest singers nightly will be On Call (Friday), Tribute (Saturday and Sunday) and the Binghamtown Trio (Sunday). Morley Baptist Church will begin revival services Oct. 17 at 6 p.m. and Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. Rev. Bill Wilson will be holding the revival.


The Goins Family will be singing at Charity Worship Center on Oct. 17 at 6 p.m.


Trinity Lutheran Church of Campbell County is having its second annual picnic, Oct. 17, at Cove Lake State Park, (pavilion 1).  Fellowship and games (basketball, volleyball, and cornhole) will begin at 2 p.m.  food will be served at 4 p.m., and church service will follow at 5  p.m.  Anyone who would like to attend should call 563-9742.


Fall Festival and Community Cookout will be held Oct. 23 at noon at the Wynn Community "Big Brick" Church.  Games for the kids, prizes, bouncing inflatable’s, hayride, free food, face painting, and fun for the whole family. For more information, call Donna at 566-1820.


Faith Way Assembly of God will host a Candy Fest on Oct. 30 from 4 
p.m. to 6 p.m. Activities include games, music, free food, face

Seventh Day Adventist Church is offering free blood pressures and health literature every Friday morning at the LaFollette flea market behind the police station.


Forks Grove Baptist Church holds youth services on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. For more information or transportation call 566-8807.
