Commissioners spar at committee meeting; find common ground

Discussion heated up as the agenda or lack of was discussed at Monday’s environmental committee meeting.

When Commissioner Adrion Baird asked committee Chairman Whit Goins what was on the evening’s agenda Goins asked the other committee members if they had any issues to address.

Dissatisfied with this response, Baird interjected commissioners should be notified prior to the meetings the items that would be discussed.

“If there’s an item that needs to be discussed then it goes through the committee,” Baird explained.
