Charles Adam Gross was arrested for the second time in as many weeks on Sunday.
LaFollette Police Officer Jason Marlow responded to a West Virginia Avenue address in response to a couple allegedly sleeping in a vacant house.
When Marlow along with Officers Pam Jarrett and Tony Rucker arrived they found Gross, 27, of 235 Davis Road, and Amanda Michelle Adkins, 26, of 518 North 23rd Street sleeping on an air mattress inside the house.
The officers allegedly observed a pill bottle lying on the floor with no label and a plastic bag containing a variety of pills, according to Marlow’s report.
On July 9 Gross was arrested for entering a West Ash Street residence without permission.
The victim reported that Gross knocked lightly on her door and then let himself in.
While inside the home Gross allegedly walked to the back bedroom, took his shoes off and sat down.
At that time Gross admitted to officers that he was high on meth, records indicate. On that date he was arrested and charged with public intoxication and aggravated criminal trespassing.
For his most recent crimes Gross was arrested and charged with possession of legend drugs, two counts of possession of a schedule II substance, possession of a schedule III substance and two counts of possession of a schedule IV substance.
Adkins was also arrested and charged with possession of schedule II, III and IV substances as well as possession of legend drugs. Both are scheduled to appear in court this Friday.
