Disagreements keep utility board from choosing general manager

On October 10, Jellico’s utility board fired former general manager Mike Bethurem with a unanimous vote.

But on Monday, the board couldn’t come to an agreement. At issue was who would replace Bethurem.

The indecisiveness led the board to postpone the decision for a week.

Since Bethurem was removed, Billy Rowe and Woody Swafford have been acting as interim managers. Board member Pam Carbaugh wanted it to remain this way.
