Domestic call reveals stash of pills and paraphernalia

A disturbance call led to a couple’s arrest on multiple drug charges on Sunday.

LaFollette Police Officer Jason Marlow was called to investigate a disturbance at 193 East Elm Street.

At the residence Allen Dewayne Cordell, 25, of 193 East Elm, advised Marlow that he and Elizabeth Paige Douthat, 19, had been arguing.

When Marlow gained consent to search the home he located a jewelry box containing small baggies with assorted pills as well as 107 syringes and a half burned cigarette of what was believed to be marijuana.

The couple was arrested and charged with two counts of felony possession of a schedule IV substance for resale, two counts of possession of a legend drug for resale and felony possession of drug paraphernalia. They are scheduled to appear in court tomorrow.
