Eagles stay in hunt for TMSAA crown

Jacksboro’s boys remain the only Campbell County middle school basketball team in contention for a large-school division championship.

The Eagles crushed Wartburg, 55-27, Saturday afternoon in the Area 2 North consolation game to advance to sub-sectional play this week.

Ethan Simpson poured in 19 points to lead all scorers while Jacksboro teammate Jordan Kindred chipped in 14. Afterward, both boys were named to the all-tournament team.
