Escapee appears in court

After escaping the long arm of the law, Adam Wayne Steakley now knows it has a hold on him.
In December 2009, Steakley was arrested for allegedly stealing a variety of items that included guns and a gaming system. Once in police custody he confessed to his crimes, even taking police to the home where he had stashed the stolen items, police reports said.
Then he escaped.
However, on Tuesday Steakley appeared in Campbell County Criminal Court. He was shackled and pleading guilty.
