Defensive star Keenan Evans will be making his second all-star appearance when he suits up Saturday for Team Tennessee in the 4th annual Border Bowl.
Kick-off is set for high noon at James H. Taylor, II Stadium on the campus of the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Ky. The game is a matchup of some of the best high school seniors from the states of Tennessee and Kentucky.
Evans, who played the past four years for Campbell County High School, started on the defensive line for the East All-Stars in the Toyota East vs. West Tennessee Classic, which was held a couple of weeks before Christmas at Carson-Newman College. In that game, Evans made several key plays — including a quarterback sack — while helping the East All-Stars claim a 26-9 victory.
He was named District 3 Lineman of the Year for the second year in a row and plans to continue his football career on the collegiate level.
