An early morning house fire has claimed the lives of two people.
On Tuesday morning, just after 3:30, E-911 was notified that a house at 3899 Highway 297 was engulfed in flames, according to Campbell County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Aaron Evans.
When CCSD Capt. Brandon Elkins arrived at the home just before 8 a.m., he said the blaze had just been extinguished.
The small blockhouse was destroyed in the early morning fire, he said.
