The following is a weekly summary of the fishing conditions on Norris Lake as reported by creel clerks from the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.
The lake level on Monday, Feb. 16 was 1,000.26 feet, a decline of over a foot and a half since the previous week.
Crappie fishing improved the most last week, with the majority of the fish holding tight to brush in stained creek hollows on the upper end of the lake. The best crappie baits have been medium-sized tuffy minnows, 1/32 or 1/64 oz. Popeye flies and small tube jigs.
