Monday night, the Financial Management System Committee unanimously voted for David Adkins to serve as chair again.
Terry Singley was elected vice chair.
The FMS committee approved an emergency purchase of a roof top unit for Jellico High School’s band room from Trane Commercial Systems for $12,600.
“We were needing some heat and air in there now,” FMS committee member and director of schools Donnie Poston said.
The committee approved accepting the lowest bid, $22,317 from Rainbow Ford, to purchase a truck for the animal shelter. The truck is a ¾ ton extended cab, heavy duty truck, Campbell County Mayor William Baird said.
The committee accepted a $35,300 bid from Dixie Roofing to reroof the finance department building.
The FMS committee approved passing The Interlocal Purchasing System Program, a cooperation agreement, to the county commission. The purpose of the agreement would be to provide cooperative purchasing services and save associated departments through volume purchasing, according to the resolution. The resolution would involve Campbell County cooperating with Clinch Powell Educational Cooperative.
