FMS discusses budget

After approving several bids for county purchases discussion turned toward the topic of developing the upcoming fiscal year’s budget during Monday evening’s FMS committee meeting.

Jeff Marlow, county finance director, suggested commissioners consider sending correspondence to each department head cautioning against requests for additional funds to be added to their 2009-10 budgets.

“If last year appeared to be tight this year is off the wall,” Marlow said of the funding challenges facing Campbell County government.
