Drugs were allegedly found at a Jellico residence, when Jellico Police Officer Jeffrey Ivey was dispatched to 1133 5th Street in Jellico on Sept. 8.

Upon arriving at the residence, Ivey spoke with the homeowner, asking to see proof of residence, according to the police report.  Ivey also obtained permission to enter the home.  Upon following the homeowner into a bedroom, Ivey was shown the contents of a drawer by the homeowner, which allegedly belonged to Crit Henderson Ford, 54, of 1133 5th Street, Jellico.  Ford is allegedly also a resident of the home.

There was a pipe and needles located in the drawer, according to the report.  Ivey then obtained permission to search the rest of the home, where he found more needles and pipes, as well as spoons used for cooking cocaine, Ivey’s report said.

Ford was placed under arrest and charged with possession of schedule III controlled substance, possession of schedule VI controlled substance, possession of schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and domestic violence by assault, according to the Jellico Police report.

Ford was being held at the county jail on $5,000 bond at press time.
