When: Friday

Where: Jellico High School

Kickoff: 7:30 p.m.

Records: Williamsburg (0-0) at Jellico (0-0)

Previous meeting: The Blue Devils and the Yellowjackets met last year in the first game of the season, Williamsburg prevailing 58-0 over Jellico.

Last year: The Yellowjackets used a complete attack in order to take down the Blue Devils. Combining for 374 total yards, Williamsburg used 208 yards through the air to four of their scores. Logan Hamblin and Dalton Sizemore combined for 8-of-14 completions and 205 yards. Sizemore also scored two touchdowns across the ground, going 57 yards on four attempts.

Keep an eye on: For Jellico, their big attack will be their passing offense. Snapping the ball has been an issue for the Blue Devils during their scrimmages last week, so the exchange from the center to Austin Bowlin will be crucial. With the offensive line playing a crucial part, they will have to be on top of their game. Running back Ryan Payne will be coming out of the backfield looking to make a strong showing, but it will take those little things Jellico has been working on to break their 0-6 run against the Yellowjackets.

With Sizemore and Hamblin back for their junior and senior seasons, the Blue Devils will look to stop the air attack again this season. Jefferson Patrick, defensive specialist for Williamsburg will be back for his sophomore season. Last year, he led the Yellowjackets with 10 tackles, six of them unassisted.
