Dear Press Readers;
I wanted to update everyone on the status of The Little Community Theater. TLC Theater is partnering with the U.T. Extension Office, Campbell County Culture Coalition and the Arts Council to offer young people an opportunity to take part in the arts. Participation is free and it will be a fun, yet structured, environment.
We do have a new home at the LaFollette Community Center (West LaFollette). The Jr. Chamber Board has graciously offered to be our pilot group of young people with a performance planned for the end of March 2012. TLC Theater will also be having a float in the Christmas Parade. If you would like to assist with building the float or contribute in some fashion to this project (building materials), please contact me at billie@campbellcountygov.com or 423-562-2526.
We will also be having a fundraiser for TLC Theater on Wednesday, November 30th at 6:30 pm. The event being held at LaFollette Community Center, Family Movie Night will feature An Appalachian Dawn. Admission is free (donations will be accepted at the door) and concessions will be sold.
I'm a marketing major so I'm curious as to the number of Billie's blog readers. If you read this blog, could you please let me know by contacting me using the contact info above.
Happy Veterans Day with special tribute to my dad (deceased), Frank Sharp Jr., who was in the U.S. Navy, on the USS North Carolina. He was a lookout on the ship that ended up being was there at the invasion of Normandy.
Best Regards,
Billie Jean Russell
