A group of community members have seen a need and are working toward doing something about it.
Debra Watts, treasurer of the newly formed Helping Hands of Appalachia, Inc., said the inception of the group came when several people starting talking about the amount of substandard housing in rural counties like Campbell and the need for services to help local families improve their living conditions.
