Habitat for Humanity falls victim to theft

Stealing from anyone is a crime, but when the victim is a service organization it takes on a whole new dimension of despicable for Donald Smith, treasurer of Campbell County Habitat for Humanity.

“It really angers me that someone would do this,” Smith said after a recent discovery that habitat’s equipment trailer had been burglarized.

According to Smith, the lock on the trailer that was being stored in an enclosed location was pried open allowing the thief or thieves to help themselves to its contents.
