The second chapter of Exodus tells us of the faith of the mother of Moses. His mother’s name was Jochebed (Exodus 6:20).
The king of Egypt had given the order that all the Hebrew baby boys that were born should be killed by throwing them into the Nile River.
We read in Hebrews 11:23, It was by faith that Moses’ parents hid him for three months. They saw that God had given them an unusual child and they were not afraid of what the King might do.
