Hubbard receives new court date

After being indicted for one count of rape in late August, Paul K. Hubbard appeared in criminal court on Tuesday.
Appearing in shackles wearing a jail jumpsuit, Hubbard was instructed by Criminal Court Judge Shayne Sexton to return on Sept. 27 with an attorney to represent him.
Hubbard’s crime allegedly occurred in June at a Caryville home, according to police reports. It was then that he allegedly sexually assaulted a 17-year old female. According to her, she was on the back porch of the home when Hubbard allegedly committed the crime.
