A man who has been on the run from authorities since March finally ran out of luck.

On March 10 LaFollette Police Officer Mark Bolton was dispatched to a local gas station on the report of a fight.

At the scene Bolton learned that Tobias Joseph Idles, 26, of 2430 Lake City Highway, Clinton and Stacey Darlene Adams, of 145 B- Wells Lane, Powell, were involved in an altercation with relatives of the owner of a stolen 1997 Toyota Celica, the incident report said.

Idles and Adams fled on foot, but Adams was apprehended a short time later at a used car lot.

A check of the vehicle showed it had been reported as stolen in Anderson County.

LPD inventoried the vehicle, where a bag of tools commonly used in burglaries was located along with a radiator and other copper products, the arrest report said.

A set of binoculars, a cell phone and flashlight were also found.

Officers also discovered several hypodermic needles and two marijuana cigarettes in the glove compartment.

After managing to evade police for more than eight months Idles was arrested and charged with theft over $1,000, possession of burglary tools, possession of a schedule VI and possession of drug paraphernalia list week He is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 5.
