Jacksboro man arrested on theft charges

A Jacksboro man is facing theft charges after he allegedly broke into a vehicle parked at the Jacksboro Middle School.

Brandon Cook, 21, of 110 Steep Lane, Jacksboro, was arrested on May 27 after he allegedly stole $114 from a parked vehicle, according to a Jacksboro Police report. Cook, along with an unknown male, was witnessed breaking into the vehicle and Cook was later identified after the police were called.

Cook was charged with theft under $500 and auto burglary. He was held on $2,500 bond, but has since been released. His court date is set for June 2.
