Selling a vehicle for $75 netted charges of theft of property over $1000 for Amy Renae Matlock, 33, from Jacksboro.

Jacksboro Detective Mike Starrett investigated the theft of the vehicle, taken from the father of Matlock’s ex-boyfriend, the report indicates.

“The vehicle belongs to the father of the ex-boyfriend who did not give anyone permission to sell the vehicle,” Starrett explained in the arrest report.

According to Starrett, the vehicle was sold to another person for $75. The buyer of the vehicle allegedly had the vehicle crushed, said Starrett.

Matlock was arrested on Jan. 29, and charged with theft of property $1,000 to $9,999, as well as charges from a bench warrant and failure to appear.

Matlock was taken to the county jail were she awaits a hearing on Feb. 13.
