A man already behind bars was served with two new warrants for drug charges.
Jack Trammell, 53, of South Main Street, Jellico, was being detained at the Campbell County Jail for violating his probation in early October. Last Thursday morning, Trammell received notice of new charges stemming from a three-month investigation by the Jellico Police Department.
According to police, Trammell was allegedly selling illegal prescription medication in the Jellico area. Those alleged activities resulted in charges of four counts of sale and delivery of a schedule II drug and then two additional counts of sale and delivery of a schedule II drug. Both warrants had a preset bond of $100,000 each.
Trammell is one of more than a dozen individuals arrested or cited for drug offenses in Jellico during the last four weeks.
