Jellico plans New Year celebration

Jellico will be an option for partygoers when the town celebrates the third annual New Year’s Rock ‘n’ Eve on Dec. 31.

“I think everybody looks forward to it because everybody wants to go out on New Years Eve,” said Doris Stiers, one of the event organizers.

The party will begin at 8 p.m. and last until the ball drops at midnight.

“This year the electric system is going to put us a permanent pole down there to drop our ball,” said Stiers.
