The Jellico High School Alumni Association will host Homecoming 2009 on Oct. 23 and 24. Homecoming at Jellico High School has been a tradition since 1986 and was first organized by former Principal John Clifton. Homecoming is for all JHS attendees whether or not they graduated there. Everyone is encouraged to attend and visit with friends and classmates from high school days. This year the classes of 1949, 1959, 1964, 1984, and 1989 have announced full reunions. Three Alumni will be honored at the program on Oct. 24. The Honorees are Phyllis Mays Faulkner from the Class of 1949, Joe N. Brown from the Class of 1959, and Teddy G. Dotson from the Class of 1964. A special plaque will be presented to the Shoun family in memory of Mr. and Mrs. Earl P. Shoun who both taught in Jellico. The Walk through Time exhibit consists of senior class pictures dating back into the 1930’s through the 2009 graduating class. This exhibit is one of the most popular things at Homecoming. Anyone who wishes to have up to date homecoming information please visit www.jellicoalumni.com for the latest news. Lunch will be served in the JHS cafeteria.
