JMS teams fall

Having beaten Jefferson Middle earlier this season at Oak Ridge, the Jacksboro Lady Eagles came into Monday night’s rematch with confidence that they duplicate the feat.

But Jefferson surprised the Lady Eagles by turning a close game into a 33-15 victory on Jacksboro’s home court.

Defense was instrumental for Jefferson in avenging a 26-24 loss on Nov. 18, 2008.

With the game tied 13-13 early in the third quarter of their most recent meeting, Jefferson held Jacksboro to two points during the entire second half of play.
