Jellico High School’s girls will travel to Hampton tomorrow (Fri.) night for a first-round regional basketball game after finishing fourth in the District 2-A Tournament.
The Lady Blue Devils (6-23 overall) fell 60-39 Monday night to Washburn in the district girl’s consolation game at Rutledge.
“Our girls did a lot more this year than people thought they would,” said Lady Blue Devils’ coach Harold Sanders.
“Nobody thought this team would get to regionals. They made a lot of youthful mistakes throughout the year but, at the same time, they got better each game.
“I’m proud of them.”
