After being beaten by Cumberland Gap earlier this season, the Campbell County High School softball team returned the favor Friday afternoon at Arlis Chapman Field.
The Lady Cougars pulled out an 11-10 victory by making the plays they didn’t make during a run-rule loss last month. Latosha Carroll, a junior who has pitched all three of Campbell County’s wins this season, went the distance and struck out five batters in the most recent meeting of the two teams.
“I thought we showed a little more cool,” said Ron Lasley, coach of the Lady Cougars.
